Great Hotels of the World represents member hotels on the various GDS and internet distribution channels under our own private label chain code: GW. We provide hotels with optimal seamless connectivity to the major Global Distribution Systems: Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan, which are used by over 600,000 travel agents globally.

Our Central Reservation System provides instant updates of rates, inventory, property information and pictures to all GDS channels, ensuring that the information displayed to travel agents is accurate at all times. Each hotel will also be displayed on leading internet sites such as Travelocity and Expedia as well as many thousands of sites offering travel and hotel booking services.

Our electronic reservations team ensures that all our hotel members benefit from the latest developments in hotel technology. For instance, ADS channels and internet reservations will eventually take over from GDS channels as the primary source of reservations for hotels. Jupiter Research estimates that 20% of all hospitality bookings will come from ADS channels by 2006. The "direct to consumer" reservations channel is the next generation of e-distribution and it will require most hotels to change their thinking and marketing priorities.
