Key appointments made at GHO

To match the significant member expansion throughout 2004, GHO has made four new appointments so far this year.

As part of the alliance’s commitment to offering industry-leading sales and marketing advice to its members, Great Hotels Organisation appointed Tamasine Pritchard to the role of Account Director in January.

Overseeing the team that is responsible for the account management of over 260 hotels, Tamasine is available to provide tailor-made sales and marketing solutions on a consultancy basis. She is also managing the analysis of GDS production and the maximisation of productivity through electronic channels. Tamasine brings a wealth of experience, gained over 20 years in hospitality, in which she has occupied the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for Victoria Park Plaza and worked for the Red Carnation Hotel Collection.

To support Tamasine, Great Hotels Organisation has also appointed Ursula Gray as Account Manager. Ursula is skilled in sales and marketing and has particular experience in the field of representing hotel groups. Previous roles include seven years at the Protea Hotels Pty Ltd Cape Town where Ursula joined as Marketing Manager at the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction Cape Town and then was promoted to Brand Manager and then Group Marketing and Special Projects Manager for the whole group.

The company has also recently appointed Yunna Takeuchi (pictured) as Sales & Marketing Director, e-distribution, a new role that has been developed to keep it at the very forefront of electronic distribution technology. Yunna’s key role is to accelerate the growth of business through GHO’s GDS code (GW) and ADS channels. In addition, Yunna is offering a consultation service to member hotels that want to make the most effective use of the technology available to them. Since 2000 Yunna has worked as a Sales & Marketing Director for companies in the hospitality industry, including Crystal Hotels, specialising in the area of electronic bookings.

Meanwhile, Joanna Fay, Director of Operations, takes on new responsibilities, with her position extending to the development and marketing of the GHO website, as well as managing the operational aspects of the GW code.
