93 hotels join the GW chain code

During 2004, a total of 93 hotels signed onto the private-label GW chain code, for representation in the GDSs.

A key factor for hotels making the switch is the Hotelfactory interface, one of the most sophisticated central reservation systems available, which utilises a leading-edge application service provider model. This allows hotels to load and update information with accuracy and speed into a wide variety of distribution channels. In today’s fast-moving environment, it is essential that hotels have the ability to react quickly to changes, for example, by adjusting rates and availability instantly. Most other central reservation systems do not offer this capacity.

GHO CEO Peter Gould added: “We project that the number of hotels switching to our chain code will rise to at least 150 by the end of 2005.”
