Meeting Forums break new ground in US and Europe

In June, Great Hotels Organisation hosted its first US Meeting Forum in New York, which was hailed as a success by all who participated. The event generated specific requests for many of GHO’s member hotels that took part, and strengthened Great Hotels Organisation’s position in the American market - paving the way for many more US-based sales events in the future.

Another first is the forthcoming Netherlands Meeting Forum, which will take place at the Grand Hotel Huis Ter Duin on September 26-27. The hotel has devised a host of unique activities to enhance networking opportunities between hotel representatives and planners from Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK. Member hotels can still apply to participate.

Following the introduction of the new Nordic & Baltic office, GHO will be holding a sixth forum event this year in Scandinavia. The Nordic and Baltic Meeting Forum will follow largely the same format – pre-booked meetings of around 20 minutes each – but will take place over a longer three-day period, with each day staged in a different city. The event will take place between October 10-12, with day one held in Copenhagen, day two in Helsinki and day three in Stockholm. It is anticipated that this inaugural event will become a permanent fixture in the forum calendar, offering member hotels the chance to meet with planners in these regions.

Great Hotels Organisation returns to Frankfurt on November 3-4 for its last Meeting Forum of the year, this time at the brand new Radisson SAS Hotel. It will be under the traditional format of two days of pre-scheduled appointments, and the whole event will be covered and endorsed by MICE Magazine, the leading meeting and incentive magazine in Germany. Hotels interested in targeting the German market are still able to apply.
