Welcome to the Special Hotels of the World membership information website. Special Hotels is an alliance of first-class independent properties. The unifying factor is that all members must have a unique or 'special' element to offer guests.

Our purpose is to provide an umbrella brand that brings additional revenue and credibility to our member properties. We do this through a wide range of sales and marketing activities, both as a group and at an individual property level.

We have developed a unique 'à la carte' membership programme which allows members to choose and purchase only the services they require. This ensures that membership fees are kept to a minimum and are focused on individual needs.

Membership of Special Hotels of the World is by invitation only and has strict criteria. As well as having first-class facilities, member properties must offer a unique or 'special' experience to guests.
